This activity is run on selected weekdays and Saturdays throughout the year, with various start times both morning and afternoon.
You must be fit, able bodied and 17 year of age or over. If you are not 100% able bodied but feel you could drive safely then please call us to check if this is possible.
You must be fit enough to enable you to climb into a high cab. We can give you some help if needed.
Maximum weight is 114kg (18stone), maximum height 1.93m (6ft 4”0, minimum height 1.57m (5ft2”). If you do not fit inside these measurements please contact our office as we may be able to accommodate you with prior notice.
A full UK driver’s licence is not required to take part in this activity but you must tell us why you don’t have one before the course starts, preferably on booking.
Participants should wear suitable driving footwear and outdoor clothing for the weather conditions. The majority of the course is inside the cab, but if it's raining and you are hitching/unhitching the cab you may need warm/waterproof clothing depending upon the time of year.
Spectators are welcome and we encourage spectators to get as close to the action as safely possible.
You are welcome to bring 2 complimentary adult spectators, children under 14 are welcome too but do not count towards your spectator allowance. If you wish to bring additional adult spectators, (over 14) these can be booked in advance at £5 per person or you can pay on the day of your experience. Refreshments are available free of charge on arrival for yourself and your spectators. There are drink and snack machines in the clubhouse for your convenience.
Spectators can ride in the vehicles with the drivers - subject to room in the vehicle, the instructor's discretion and a charge of £10pp. Under 14s can ride for free.
